I have been photographing families for well over ten years. And I love my job! If you are looking for affordable family photographs, I would love to help out! I am a Dad to two kids myself so I speak their language! I also photograph 300 families a year so have plenty of training in dealing with meltdowns, shyness and tantrums!

Our Affordable Family Photograph packages start at $110 for one of our mini shoots. If you are wanting something a little more relaxed, and with a few more photographs included, you can book a 25 minute photo shoot in the Redlands for as little as $165.00. Being that all of our packages include your high resolution digital images, there are no hidden extra costs or charges involved. Refreshing hey?!!

Family Photo Shoot

Ayumi had booked a family photo shoot with me in 2022 and loved the experience so recently rebooked. She was looking for a more candid style of photography so after a handful of posed ones (good for Christmas gifts!) I put on the big lens and let the magic happen!

I have a lot of families who have family photos taken once or twice every year. Having an affordable family photographer means you can capture the kids growing. No-one ever said they had too many photos of the kids when they were little!

Beerwah Engagement Photos

If you are reading this as you are recently engaged: congratulations! Hopefully you are looking for some photo inspo ideas for an engagement shoot? Well I would love to help out! I love Beerwah engagement photos and I have photographed around the Glasshouse Mountain area many times. Knowing the area well means I know the best, quietest and most hidden spots!

I met Leisl and Klae at a wedding recently and once Klae popped the question they called and asked if I would get some Beerwah engagement photos for them. Oh yeah! They are such an amazing, loved up couple and I couldn’t wait! Happily I knew the area well, but Leisl and Klae took a drive north to do some photo location spotting themselves. We started in Maleny then headed down the range to an area near Australia Zoo. We had the lanes to ourselves so were able to snap in peace without prying eyes!

Engagement Photo Shoot

As the afternoon light got better, we headed closer to the Glasshouse mountains and got in amongst the amazing pine trees that dot the region. The low afternoon light made for a perfect couples photo shoot as Leisl showed off her engagement bling!

Couple Photo Shoot

The guys were brave enough to bush bash and get amongst it! The dirt paths around there are awesome for leading line photographs, but we wanted to get closer to the trees to capture that slowly setting sun filtering through. Golden hour indeed!

Engagement shoot prices start at $165 for a 25-minute shoot in the Redlands. But for more photos and more shooting time (and dare I say more fun!) you can opt for my 2-hour dedicated engagement shoot package. This gives 120-minutes of photography and around 60-80 edited high resolution digital images for $399! (Some locations may have a small travel fee, depending on location!)

Pet Photographer

It isn’t often someone steals my heart but Rosie most certainly did! As a pet photographer I meet a lot of fur babies and love their unique charms and personalities! Rosie was just beautiful – so easy to photograph, so well behaved and such a loving and obedient puppy!

And so were her parents Jo and Jarrah! Jo had called a few weeks earlier wanting some pet photographs to capture Rosie before her surgery. I jumped at the chance! Every day is different for photographers and I love the chance for some weekend pet photography!

As with all of my family photography sessions, I get as many different combinations as possible. Pet photography is no different and I mixed up the combos early on! Rosie was an absolute gem in her solo photos, sitting on demand, staying when told to do so – as did her parents! On occasion 😉

We took the pet photography photos at Wellington Point Reserve. It is a great location with bay views, Moreton Bay figs and an open grassy area for Rosie to run around in. A pet photographer usually needs a degree of patience but not so with Rosie! She was a dream! And she even let me get some lovely couple photos of her Mum and Dad!

Mini Photo Shoots

If you are looking for an affordable way to get a selection of amazing family photographs, our Mini Photo Shoots could be exactly what you are looking for! Lasting just 20 minutes (how kid-friendly is that?!), our mini photo sessions include 10 high resolution digital images without any compulsory print spend or added extras!

With the ever changing economy, I thought a budget-friendly option to photography would prove popular, and it really has! Mini Photo Sessions are here to stay!

The feedback has been amazing so I am going to make the mini shoots a regular thing! I will lock out a particular day every couple of months for a Mini Shoot Day, either in New Farm Park, or near me in Wellington Point Reserve!

Affordable Family Photography Brisbane

The shorter photo shoot time has been amazingly popular! Even the most restless of kids can stay still for 20 minutes! It has meant easier, more relaxed family photo sessions and without a hefty price tag! And that’s the best part – the Mini sessions at Wellington Point are only $110, and in New Farm Park they are $129! How good is that?

All of the family photographs on this page were taken at our mini photo shoots, so as you can see there is boundless option for photo combinations and locations.

As always, there are no restrictions to the number of people attending the shoot. A few things to remember:

Mini shoots last for 20 minutes and include 10 high resolution digital images
A non refundable deposit of $50 is required to confirm the booking. No shows or late arrivals will forfeit the deposit. The balance is due on the day.
Allow plenty of time for parking and delays! Mini shoots are time specific and late arrivals will eat into your shoot time!

Affordable Maternity Photographer

Although it may feel as if you have already been pregnant for years, those precious maternity months fly by all too quickly! An affordable maternity photographer, such as Andy Williams of A Thousand Miles Photography, can capture those amazing moments before the life change of Bub’s arrival.

We have two options for maternity photographs – either a standalone maternity shoot at a location of your choice, or we have a very popular maternity and newborn package available. This includes a 30-minute maternity shoot at Wellington Point Reserve (where these photos were taken!) and a 2-hour newborn shoot at your home. The total cost for this package is just $499 and will include 20 high resolution digital images from the maternity shoot and 40 from the newborn session!

So when is the best time to do an affordable maternity photography shoot? The best general advice is to have the baby bump photos taken around the 32-36 week mark when the bump is big but not too close to your due date that we may miss out!

Affordable Newborn Photographer

And what about the newborn photo shoot? Generally when Bub is around 2 weeks old, but in truth any time in the first 6 weeks works well!

A good affordable maternity photographer will give you some guidance for poses and advice on what clothing to wear. Something that makes you feel beautiful and confident works well, and something that will show off that glorious bump to maximum effect!

Headshot Photographer

A great website needs great images. A picture tells a thousand words, right?! And a series of fantastic headshots will not only bring your website to life, but will show your clients who they are dealing with. Phone selfies just don’t cut it these days. Not only will you have fun on your shoot, but you will receive your high resolution digital images (so there are no hidden fees or extra print charges!!) within a week! Finding an Affordable Family Photographer isn’t easy – all too often the sitting fees may seem reasonable but the costs of acquiring the photographs can be extortionate! We take great pride in what we do, and we do it fairly and affordably too!

I am based in the Redlands on Brisbane’s Bayside but travel throughout the South East Queensland region. It works out a little cheaper if you travel to my region but I cover anywhere from the Sunshine Coast, down to the Southern Gold Coast – you can see the pricing here.

Engagement Photographer Brisbane

If you are looking for a fun and laid back engagement photographer Brisbane then you have found your man! Here at A Thousand Miles Photography we love engagement photography! We love watching your journey from a couple to being engaged to being married and we can capture your most important of life journeys without hassle or headaches!

Jarod arranged his Brisbane engagement shoot over the phone with me and was laid back, funny and open to suggestions! With our 2-hour engagement shoot, we can cover several locations and outfit changes and we decided on New Farm Park (one of my favourite engagement photography locations in Brisbane!) and Kangaroo Point cliffs!

As an engagement photographer Brisbane I feel that New Farm Park has an amazing variety of photo locations and backdrops – from the urban chic of the Powerhouse to the natural wonders of the trees and greenery, to the Brisbane River and Brisbane City backdrop.

We started at the Powerhouse and got some beautiful couples photographs, before heading to the big tree where we recreated the engagement!

The roses were in bloom which I love to use as a foreground with Brisbane city in the background. Once we had used up all of New Farm Parks backdrops we headed to Kangaroo Point cliffs where we braved the stairs of death and headed to the river for some amazing city photos!

Couples Photo Shoot

Booking in for a couples photo shoot with A Thousand Miles Photography will provide you with a fun and affordable way to spend an hour, and will provide you with some amazing memories that will last a lifetime!

Blessing and Taiwo booked in a couples photo shoot at Wellington Point Reserve, one of my favourite spots for couples photography, and were absolutely amazing to photograph! They had their poses worked out, laughed the whole time and made the session an absolute blast!

The guys mentioned they had recently got engaged so the couples photo shoot quickly turned into an engagement photo shoot! Blessing and Taiwo even brought along a change of clothes for a greater variety of photos! Luckily Wellington Point Reserve even has changing rooms!

We started at the amazing Moreton Bay Fig trees, then headed to the jetty for some bay photos. The best thing about Wellington Point Reserve is the variety of backdrops available! I love the mixture of blues, greens and browns that add huge variety to the photographs.

I loved how we managed to get a great variety of photos – some posed shots, plenty of candid photos, and some amazing belly laugh pictures! They are always my favourites! The guys were a little reluctant to do any solo photos at first but absolutely nailed it once they had relaxed and settled into their poses!

The one hour photography sessions always go so quickly! But they are so much fun! Our photographer, Andy, thinks he’s pretty funny (he isn’t!) and keeps the sessions relaxed and light, and will offer advice and pointers for posing and locations, but always welcomes any input, thoughts and ideas!
