My name is Andy Williams and I like to think I have all three criteria! I have been a family photographer Brisbane for well over a decade so certainly tick the experience box! My family photography packages start at $149, so am affordable too! And relaxed? Well people often say I am so laid back I am positively horizontal!

And that’s why I have such a fantastic number of repeat clients! This photo shoot was Tayla and Luke’s 5th photography session with me (I also photographed their wedding, their engagement, and I did their maternity and newborn shoots too!) and I look forward to every shoot with them! They are always so laid back and with their beautiful 1 year old Isla on board now too, their are amazingly photogenic!

Our family photography packages start at $149 for a 30-minute shoot in the Redlands. This includes 20 high resolution digital images. Cool huh?! Or we can do an hour for $199 that will get you 40 high resolution digital images.

Graduation Photography

Capture those once in a lifetime milestone moments, such as a university graduation or high school formal with A Thousand Miles Photography’s fun and affordable graduation photography options. Lara graduated from UQ last year and opted for a one hour photo shoot at her graduation ceremony in St Lucia, and was delighted with the results!

It isn’t every day that you graduate university or high school so a graduation photography session is an ideal way to capture those moments forever.

We started with some photos of Lara by herself, then got some graduation photos with her family. The UQ campus was very busy but we managed to find some quieter spots inside the Great Court and at the front of the main building where Lara was joined by her university friends for a group photo, and a fun photo of everyone throwing their mortar boards!

If you are looking for an Affordable Family Photographer, Andy Williams of A Thousand Miles Photography can help! I travel around South East Queensland photographing families, couples, and weddings, and I adore my job!

Not only will you have fun on your shoot, but you will receive your high resolution digital images (so there are no hidden fees or extra print charges!!) within a week! Finding an Affordable Family Photographer isn’t easy – all too often the sitting fees may seem reasonable but the costs of acquiring the photographs can be extortionate! We take great pride in what we do, and we do it fairly and affordably too!

I am based in the Redlands on Brisbane’s Bayside but travel throughout the South East Queensland region. It works out a little cheaper if you travel to my region but I cover anywhere from the Sunshine Coast, down to the Southern Gold Coast – you can see the pricing here.

I do a lot of my family photo shoots at Wellington Point Reserve as there are so many amazing backdrops we can use! But I know the Redlands, and the Great Brisbane region very well so am always happy to offer some location suggestions, and clothing and posing advice comes for free too!

We are issuing photography gift vouchers right through until midday on Christmas Eve and being that we email the gift vouchers through to you, you don’t have to worry about Australia Post getting the voucher through to you on time!

Happily ordering a photography gift voucher is very easy to do. We just need:

Our photography gift vouchers are valid for three years and are open dated so you can use the voucher whenever you are ready! You are welcome to bring as many people as you like to the shoot, and we are always open to suggestions for locations (although we do know some great locations if you are wanting some ideas!)

Gift vouchers are non-refundable once issued
Once a session is booked, date changes are permitted for $50 provided they are done so more than 24 hours prior to the booked session
Vouchers are forfeited in case of a no-show or same day cancellations

Here at A Thousand Miles Photography, we specialise in affordable Newborn Photography Brisbane. I am a Dad to two beautiful munchkins myself so know too well the joys of a newborn baby! Even with the lack of sleep, there is nothing more amazing than those newborn baby cuddles!

Those early days fly by all too quickly and an affordable newborn photography session is the best way to keep those memories forever!

Our affordable newborn photography sessions are a 2-hour session that allows for plenty of time for crying, melt-downs, changes, and feeding, and the relaxed pace makes the shoot easy and rewarding for Mum and Dad! It also means we can do a change of clothing, add a few toys or teddies into the photos, and even allows for some photos with Mum and dad, siblings and fur babies!

Our affordable newborn photography shoots are done at your own home! Yep! You don’t even have to leave the house! We just need a small space to set up in, and we can do the rest!

The success rate of doing the baby photo session in your own home is so much higher than at a studio! You will always have spare nappies, blankets and clothes on hand, and Bub will be more familiar with her surroundings and with a more relaxed Mum and Dad!

Our 2-hour baby photography shoot is just $399, and includes around 40 high resolution digital images. And there is no additional minimum spend on prints! How refreshing is that!

Coming to you means we reduce the stresses of moving a newborn to a new location, and being mobile means we bring our blankets, baskets and wraps to you! We always encourage having a few outfits on hand, as well as a handful of teddies and keepsakes to have in the photos – we love those personal touches!

Our newborn photography sessions generally start with some photos of Bub curled up in our blankets or wraps, but with any newborn shoot, flexibility is the key! Engagement Photographer Brisbane

If you are looking for a fun and laid back engagement photographer Brisbane then you have found your man! Here at A Thousand Miles Photography we love engagement photography! We love watching your journey from a couple to being engaged to being married and we can capture your most important of life journeys without hassle or headaches!

Jarod arranged his Brisbane engagement shoot over the phone with me and was laid back, funny and open to suggestions! With our 2-hour engagement shoot, we can cover several locations and outfit changes and we decided on New Farm Park (one of my favourite engagement photography locations in Brisbane!) and Kangaroo Point cliffs!

As an engagement photographer Brisbane I feel that New Farm Park has an amazing variety of photo locations and backdrops – from the urban chic of the Powerhouse to the natural wonders of the trees and greenery, to the Brisbane River and Brisbane City backdrop.

We started at the Powerhouse and got some beautiful couples photographs, before heading to the big tree where we recreated the engagement!

The roses were in bloom which I love to use as a foreground with Brisbane city in the background. Once we had used up all of New Farm Parks backdrops we headed to Kangaroo Point cliffs where we braved the stairs of death and headed to the river for some amazing city photos!

Maternity Photography

What better way to capture those beautiful pregnancy months than with a maternity photography shoot? Being pregnant is such an amazing but all too brief brief part of your life, and a pregnancy photo shoot will capture those amazing days. Whether we do the photos on location or at your place, you will be sure to capture some amazing memories of those pre-child days.

I was lucky enough to be contacted by Tayla and Luke to do their maternity photography shoot after having photographed their wedding a couple of years ago! And how amazing do they look? Well, Tayla does at least! We did the maternity photography shoot at Wellington Point Reserve; one of my favourite spots for photos! We had beautiful filtered light which always makes for amazing photos. My kids even came along as Tayla taught my son, Owyn, in 1st grade and he was keen for a catch up!

I love doing baby bump photos! They are always so much fun! I love the nervousness and excitement of the couple, and being a Dad myself I always like to share stories and potential expectations!

Wellington Point Reserve also gives heaps of varied backdrops too; with a wooden jetty, some amazing Moreton Bay fig trees, and ocean views. It is little wonder I do most of my photo shoots there!

Redlands Photography

I love being a Redlands photographer! Firstly, the Redlands is an amazing place to live! Secondly being a Redlands photographer means you get to photograph in some of the best photography locations in SE QLD! And thirdly; I love my job!

So when Sam and Darcy asked me to get some updated photos for their tribe a few weeks ago I jumped at the chance! I photographed Sam and Darcy’s wedding a couple of years ago so knew the guys well – all except Tyler who has been born since the big day!

Redlands Photographer

We chose the Golden Hour (the last hour of the day when the sun is low and the light is gorgeous!) to do the photos, and opted for Raby Bay beaches as a location. It is such an amazing spot, with some greenery, plenty of sand, and amazing sunsets!

The kids all seemed to remember me which meant we hit the ground running and didn’t have any awkwardness at the start! We got some lovely photos amongst the greenery and in the trees then headed down to the break water rocks.

Sunsets are always unpredictable; clouds can work both ways and can either turn bright red and gorgeous or can block out the sun completely! Luckily we had the best of both worlds and had some shade but still ended up with amazing colours as the sun hit the horizon!

I always try and get some more natural photos towards the end of the shoot and just let kids be kids! Those candid, spontaneous photos always get the best comments and best reactions!

Engagement Photography Brisbane

Every now and again I will do a photo shoot that really stands out. Hayley and Shawn’s engagement and pet photography shoot was one of those times!

I had arranged the time and location with Shawn and was then asked if it was OK to bring their pet ducks. I presumed this was a classic autocorrect error, so said ‘yeah, dogs are fine’. Nope, they brought ducks! In nappies!

Pet Photos

The fact that Hayley and Shawn had dressed so spectacularly for the afternoon made the photos even more fun! Normally two ducks in nappies would dominate a pet photography shoot, but not this time!

The ducks (both named after a Tokyo suburb!) behaved immaculately! And once they finished their modelling duties we concentrated on the beautiful couple and their engagement!

To say that Shawn rose to the occasion is an understatement! Generally boys are at a shoot under duress and can’t wait until it’s over! Not Shawn! He loved posing and had a million different ideas!

The low afternoon light was amazing. We started on the jetty then headed to the Western side of the Reserve for the sunset. We weren’t disappointed!

The sun put on a show for us, and just as I thought the shoot had peaked, Hayley and Shawn went swimming!

Quite literally in Shawn’s case! Before I could blink the shirt was off and Shawn was submerged! I’ll leave the Daniel Crag images that followed to your imagination!

I drove home smiling like a fool! It really was the photo shoot that had everything! Pet photography, engagement photography, couples photography, glamour, ducks, nappies! Thank you so much for making my Monday afternoon so memorable guys! You both rock!

The only question now is: how do you top that at the wedding?!
