It may seem strange that a photography company does Pop Up Picnics, but it all makes sense really! I was gifted a picnic for my birthday and loved it, but I couldn’t get any decent photos of us! No-one walked past so we had to settle for selfies. So I thought: what if a picnic came with a professional photographer?! And then I thought: what if a professional photographer arranged picnics?! So here we are!

I actually loved buying all the stuff I needed! It was so much fun, and then I did a set up in the backyard for website photos! The best bit about the pop up picnics so far has been that my kids have been involved!! They love helping and setting up!

Emily contacted me a few months ago asking if I could do a picnic for 19 people! I had only really catered for 12, but sure! Why not! Happily they wanted their pop up picnic in Wynnum, not too far from me. We set up in Drevesen Park by the water but in plenty of shade.

In addition to a grazing box or two provided by local legends Jill and Pablo from The Grazing Kitchen (check them out, they’re awesome! https://www.facebook.com/grazingkitchen13/), our picnics are unique as they include a photo shoot to capture your experience properly!

We did the photos before the feasting began (to avoid watermelon juice redecorating the kids’ clothes!!) and I got some candid photos of everyone enjoying their picnic. Then I left the guys to it and came back 2 hours later to clear up! Easy!

Rochelle and Nick chose Miami Beach at sunset for their engagement photography session. Sunset is usually the best time of day for engagement photos, when the light is low and gorgeous; although with these two stunning models, we were sorted for gorgeousness!

I actively encourage input with your engagement photography session. Rochelle had heaps of amazing ideas and sent them through before the shoot so I was well prepped. We had a gorgeous afternoon; enough cloud to add interest and colour but not too much to make the afternoon gloomy and dull.

Rochelle was keen to show off her engagement ring so we got some close ups, and with the guys having been together 16 years their natural chemistry was instant.
