I love photographing weddings in Manly! I lived there for several years and am still local so know the area very well! I have also been a member of Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club for many years so was delighted to be asked to capture Ray and Clara’s amazing wedding last October!
And what a day it was! It was a perfect day for Manly Wedding Photography – the sun shone, the wind was kind, and look at that for a wedding ceremony backdrop! The Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club is a pretty special place to be married! Oh and Clara and Ray looked pretty good too!
Ray was relaxed and smiling as the guests arrived and Clara was more relaxed than when I had met the guys a few days prior when she pulled up in the wedding car! And how amazing is that dress!
Debbie Thomas did a fantastic job as always, officiating the ceremony and even wove (see what I did there!) a knot-tieing element into the ceremony! I have photographed several weddings with Debbie and she is a star – always a lot of fun, very easy to work with and nothing is ever too much for her! You can check out her web page here: https://www.letscelebrate.com.au/
Cheers indeed! Congratulations on the perfect wedding ceremony guys! And all the best for the future!
The great thing about Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club is that you don’t have to leave the premises for beautiful bridal party photos! We headed down to the boat ramp for some gorgeous bay and boat shots, and didn’t the guys do well!

And happily there was no need to head elsewhere for the reception as Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club have you sorted there too! And with amazing water views and outstanding food to boot!
Congratulations on the perfect wedding day guys and thanks for being so much fun to photograph! Best Wishes, Andy
I love being a wedding photographer! I get to photograph people looking their best, being at their happiest and I get to have a different office every day! But the day is always over too quickly – both for me and the bride and groom! So what a great idea to have an anniversary photo shoot!
Doing an anniversary photo shoot means you get to relive the day all over again! You get to dress up, look beautiful, and celebrate being married to the person you love!
Affordable Photo Shoot:
We shoot with multiple lenses, one of which is the 70-200mm zoom lens that allows us to keep our distance whilst capturing the details! This lens works great for couples that are not 100% comfortable in front of the camera as it means we can stand back and be as inconspicuous as possible!
Happily the Redlands is a beautiful spot for anniversary photography, family photography and wedding photography! My favourite spot is Wellington Point Reserve with the Moreton Bay Fig trees, the jetty, bay views and the beach!
We always encourage input, thoughts and ideas at our photo shoots, but if you would rather us take the reins then we love doing that too! You are always welcome to bring along props, a change of clothes and pets! These are your photos and it is our job to make them as personal as possible!
An Anniversary Photo Shoot with A Thousand Miles Photography is affordable, fun and stress-free! We have photographed hundreds of couples in and around the Redlands and the Brisbane region and specialise in making you feel relaxed and comfortable, which as a result gives you better photos and a fantastic experience!
Head to our Contact Us page to check availability or browse our Photography Packages page for prices. All of our packages include your high resolution images so there are no additional costs or compulsory print fees!
Redlands Photographer: Shahn and Joe’s Engagement Shoot
Location: Wellington Point
Hi there, let me introduce myself! My name is Andy Williams and I am a Redlands Photographer!
I love the Redlands but only moved here in 2015. We are based in Alexandra Hills and have a home studio, but we absolutely love on location photo shoots, such as Shahn and Joe’s Engagement photo shoot at Wellington Point park!
I particularly love Wellington Point as a location for photo shoots as there are so many options for backdrops! I always start at the beautiful Moreton bay Fig trees, before moving to the beach, jetty and bay views on the opposite side of the peninsular. Being a Redlands photographer means I know the area very well and know of a few secret photo locations!
Shahn and Joe were an amazing couple to photograph; so relaxed, so much fun and so much in love! I was privileged to have been asked to capture their wedding a few months after capturing these photographs, and that wedding day was equally as fun as this engagement shoot!
We were lucky that Wellington Point park was quite quiet that day so the guys had the place to themselves! We used all that the park had to offer and got some amazing and natural photographs; one of the specifications that the guys had before we started!
A photo shoot in the Redlands starts at $99 at our Alexandra Hills Studio, with a Wellington Point on-location photo shoot starts at $119, both packages include your high resolution images on a disc! For more information and inclusions, click below or give us a call! We would love to capture you looking amazing!
Photography in the Redlands is very rewarding indeed – for a start we have countless options for family photo shoot locations, and with plentiful ocean backdrops, Redlands Photography is a must!
I was lucky enough to do a family photo shoot in Wellington Point Park with Greg, Jen and their beautiful daughter Madeleine – the weather was perfect for family photography and Madeleine was an absolute dream to photograph!
It was a gorgeous, clear afternoon with beautiful low sun, which made for some amazing low light shots – check out the reflections and sea view backdrops in these portrait photos!
Wellington Point jetty is a great location for family photo backgrounds – even on a hot and sunny day we can head underneath the jetty for a bit of shade, which helps with squinting and harsh contrasts. We just have to make sure we go at low tide!
The crowning gem is the 400-year old fig trees; they are amazing and it is almost impossible to take a bad family photo there! Redlands Photography is a great hobby and past time but when it happens to be your job too, that has to be a blessing!
Thanks very much for the photos Andy… They were fantastic. Cheers, Greg
