Saki and Daniel certainly picked the right day for their Gold Coast Wedding; the sun shone, conditions were perfect and with a backdrop like this, nothing could be more ideal! I love Gold Coast Wedding Photography – being from the UK originally, I still pinch myself when i get to photograph a wedding on a beach as beautiful as this!

The guys chose Rainbow Bay for their wedding location, and what a stunning spot to say ‘I do!’ To say the wedding was casual is putting it mildly! Daniel arrived bare-footed and relaxed, and Saki followed shortly after. Her parents were visiting from Japan and appeared to love being in the Queensland warmth!

The ceremony was beautifully officated and was filled with laughter! With wedding photography, I use two cameras, one of which has a longer lens which allows for those more intimate and natural poses and manages to capture those belly laughs and tears without being invasive.

After a fantastic cheer from the congregation and a euphoric celebration from Daniel, we did a group photo and family shots by the rocks before I stole Daniel and Saki and whisked them away to Snapper Rocks for some wedding photographs.

And wow! What a session! Gold Coast Wedding Photography rocks! No more words needed – how amazing do these guys look?!

And after a amazing wedding photography session we headed to the hotel rooftop where the reception was in full swing and Daniel and Saki played catch up! The views were amazing, the day was amazing, the couple were amazing! All in all it was a great day for Gold Coast Wedding Photography!

Wedding Photography Brisbane: Rebecca & James’ CBD Wedding

I love photographing weddings in Brisbane! There are just so many locations for great photos, and when you have a gorgeous couple like Rebecca and James, my job becomes very easy indeed!

I had met this beautiful couple before; I was lucky enough to do an engagement shoot for them and jumped at the chance to capture their big day!

We met at the shiny new Registry Office on Ann Street, a great place for Brisbane wedding photography with the amazing view!

And then Rebecca walked in! Rebecca was a stunning bride, and James a dashing groom! The ceremony was touching and intimate, and after a few family photos outside, we headed to Eagle Street for some photos of the newly married couple!

It was a very hot day that day and the mercury nudged 40 degrees! But the guys smiled through the sunshine and looked amazing by the Brisbane River!

As the newlyweds headed to Eagle Street for a post-wedding celebration, I walked through the Botanic Gardens and thought how amazing wedding photography in Brisbane really is! With the almost unlimited amazing locations, I consider myself very lucky to be able to do a job I love in a city I adore! Being a wedding photographer is a privilege I will never take for granted and I have to pinch myself every day when I think about where I am based doing what I love doing!

Wedding Photographer: Mt Tamborine Wedding Photography

Being a wedding photographer is fantastic: you get to meet a lot of fun and amazing people, and you get to spend the happiest day of people’s lives with them! How cool is that?!

Siobhan and Sandeep’s wedding on Mount Tamborine was particularly awesome: the guys are such amazing, laid back people and were so welcoming. They are clearly profoundly in love (yes folks there were tears!) and they both looked amazing! That day, being a wedding photographer on Mount Tamborine was a fun thing to be!

The ceremony and bridal party photos were both at Mount Tamborine Botanic Gardens, an amazing place for wedding photos! The weather was gorgeous and it was beautifully warm for late May, meaning we had no hinderences for a perfect wedding photography session!

The ceremony was perfect, with plenty of sentiment and emotion, and expertly officiated by Marilyn McPhail!

After a few family photos, I dragged Siobhan and Sandeep into the heart of the gardens for some bride and groom wedding photos – and didn’t they do well! They were both an absolute pleasure to photograph and made it so much fun! It helped that they are both amazing looking people and that the camera loved them both! The gardens did us proud too and looked fantastic, and with so many places to choose from, it’s a great spot for wedding photography.

The wedding reception was at Tea and Niceties, an awesome tea shop a few minutes away from the gardens where we headed to get some photos of the cake cutting, the reception set up and of the guys themselves in the amazing gardens! If you have never been there, go! It’s an incredible place, and so pretty! And a perfect spot for a wedding reception.

I left the guys as they sat down to afternoon tea and couldn’t stop smiling all the way home! Sometimes you don’t need to say too much: the photos say everything you need to! Thanks heaps guys – I had a blast and I absolutely adore your wedding photos!

We received the photos yesterday. They are exceptional! Sandeep marvels at every shot looking at the finest details and the quality. My grandparents were most impressed and said you didn’t miss a trick. We love them. I am so pleased to have these photos as precious memories. THANK YOU!!! – Siobhan and Sandeep

Wedding Photos: Bundaleer Wedding Photography

Location: Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens, Brookfield

There was nothing about this incredible wedding at Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens that I didn’t adore! I had known Megan and Brandon for a while and knew them to be amazingly friendly and welcoming people, so I knew there would be no dramas on the day. And this magical wedding day went off perfectly! One of the good things about Bundaleer is that you can often use the house behind the property to get ready. Its proximity and amazing light makes an ideal spot for wedding photos!

The only problem when writing a wedding photography blog is that you are forced to leave certain photos out, and as you can see from the length of this blog, I really struggled today!

After photographing the bridesmaids, I headed to Bundaleer itself. I love Bundaleer wedding photography – the venue is such a fantastic place to photograph and the light is always amazing regardless of the weather.

Brandon and the boys were patiently waiting when I got there. Brandon was mildly nervous but excited, and the best man leaving the rings in the wedding car didn’t help! The panic only lasted a few minutes and once the rings were retrieved, it was time for action stations!

Were there tears? Yes! Were there smiles? Yes! It was a perfect ceremony conducted by a family member, and the congratulations afterwards made for some beautifully emotional moments.

Following the family photos, it was time for a wedding photographer’s favourite part of the day! The Bridal Party photos! Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens has some amazing areas for photos and there is no shortage of stunning backdrops. The guys had hired a beautiful car for the day which certainly helped, and with a bridal party as good looking as this, there were never going to be a shortage of photos taken!

Some of the best photos can be taken on the road on the way into Bundaleer so we headed there for some spontaneous, non-posed shots, and again Megan and Brandon were amazing to photograph!

Bundaleer also has a reception room, so we headed there after the photos to party the night away!

Megan had also told me she loved night photography so we sneaked out to grab some awesome shots in the gardens. They turned out to be some of my favourite Bundaleer wedding photos from the whole day! Congratulations guys – your wedding day was perfection!

Kangaroo Point Wedding Photos: Lejla & Ares

Kangaroo Point Wedding Photography: Lejla and Ares

You might recognise Lejla and Ares from a previous post – I was lucky enough to photograph their engagement shoot last year! Happily they invited me back to photograph their Kangaroo Point wedding in January and I was ecstatic that they did! The guys are so easy to work with and so laid back; and yeah – they make my job easy by being very comfortable in front of the camera!

We met at the top of the cliffs and headed straight to the bottom to photograph at one of my favourite places in Brisbane – the little peninsular of rock that juts out into the Brisbane River and rewards the eager wedding photographer with an amazing city backdrop.

We had a great day for wedding photography; slightly overcast but nice and light.

We had an easy wander down river towards the city, stopping for photos and chatting. We ended up at the awesome white wooden pagolas that stick out into the river – another amazing spot for wedding photos. Kangaroo Point is an awesome location for bridal photography as there are so many options and such incredible backdrops. There’s the option of urban wedding photos, rural wedding photos, and rustic wedding photos, so we had a very easy run that day!

And of course it helped that Lejla and Ares were so confident in front of the camera and were so ready to laugh!

We then headed south back towards the cliffs, grabbing some photos amongst the trees and then climbing the ramp back to the top of the cliffs for some great pics in the rotunda. How amazing does Lejla look in her dress with the city through the window?!

I love Kangaroo Point wedding photos; there is such an amazing variety and such an incredible backdrop! I can’t wait to get back there again soon!

And I mst apologise for the long post – I couldn’t decide which Kangaroo Point wedding photos to prioritise! I love them all! Enjoy! And congratulations to Lejla and Ares for an amazing wedding and a fantastic Kangaroo Point Wedding Photography session!
