My name is Andy Williams and I like to think I have all three criteria! I have been a family photographer Brisbane for well over a decade so certainly tick the experience box! My family photography packages start at $149, so am affordable too! And relaxed? Well people often say I am so laid back I am positively horizontal!

And that’s why I have such a fantastic number of repeat clients! This photo shoot was Tayla and Luke’s 5th photography session with me (I also photographed their wedding, their engagement, and I did their maternity and newborn shoots too!) and I look forward to every shoot with them! They are always so laid back and with their beautiful 1 year old Isla on board now too, their are amazingly photogenic!

Our family photography packages start at $149 for a 30-minute shoot in the Redlands. This includes 20 high resolution digital images. Cool huh?! Or we can do an hour for $199 that will get you 40 high resolution digital images.

Not only will you have fun on your shoot, but you will receive your high resolution digital images (so there are no hidden fees or extra print charges!!) within a week! Finding an Affordable Family Photographer isn’t easy – all too often the sitting fees may seem reasonable but the costs of acquiring the photographs can be extortionate! We take great pride in what we do, and we do it fairly and affordably too!

I am based in the Redlands on Brisbane’s Bayside but travel throughout the South East Queensland region. It works out a little cheaper if you travel to my region but I cover anywhere from the Sunshine Coast, down to the Southern Gold Coast – you can see the pricing here.

I do a lot of my family photo shoots at Wellington Point Reserve as there are so many amazing backdrops we can use! But I know the Redlands, and the Great Brisbane region very well so am always happy to offer some location suggestions, and clothing and posing advice comes for free too!

Here at A Thousand Miles Photography, we specialise in affordable Newborn Photography Brisbane. I am a Dad to two beautiful munchkins myself so know too well the joys of a newborn baby! Even with the lack of sleep, there is nothing more amazing than those newborn baby cuddles!

Those early days fly by all too quickly and an affordable newborn photography session is the best way to keep those memories forever!

Our affordable newborn photography sessions are a 2-hour session that allows for plenty of time for crying, melt-downs, changes, and feeding, and the relaxed pace makes the shoot easy and rewarding for Mum and Dad! It also means we can do a change of clothing, add a few toys or teddies into the photos, and even allows for some photos with Mum and dad, siblings and fur babies!

Our affordable newborn photography shoots are done at your own home! Yep! You don’t even have to leave the house! We just need a small space to set up in, and we can do the rest!

The success rate of doing the baby photo session in your own home is so much higher than at a studio! You will always have spare nappies, blankets and clothes on hand, and Bub will be more familiar with her surroundings and with a more relaxed Mum and Dad!

Our 2-hour baby photography shoot is just $399, and includes around 40 high resolution digital images. And there is no additional minimum spend on prints! How refreshing is that!

Our newborn photography packages include a 2-hour newborn photography session at your own home, and around 40-50 high resolution digital images. Coming to you means we reduce the stresses of moving a newborn to a new location, and being mobile means we bring our blankets, baskets and wraps to you! We always encourage having a few outfits on hand, as well as a handful of teddies and keepsakes to have in the photos – we love those personal touches!

Our newborn photography sessions generally start with some photos of Bub curled up in our blankets or wraps, but with any newborn shoot, flexibility is the key! If Bub is having a moment and needs Mum or Dad’s attention then we can do some family photos first and move onto the solo baby photos when Bub is settled!

Couples Photo Shoot

Booking in for a couples photo shoot with A Thousand Miles Photography will provide you with a fun and affordable way to spend an hour, and will provide you with some amazing memories that will last a lifetime!

Blessing and Taiwo booked in a couples photo shoot at Wellington Point Reserve, one of my favourite spots for couples photography, and were absolutely amazing to photograph! They had their poses worked out, laughed the whole time and made the session an absolute blast!

The guys mentioned they had recently got engaged so the couples photo shoot quickly turned into an engagement photo shoot! Blessing and Taiwo even brought along a change of clothes for a greater variety of photos! Luckily Wellington Point Reserve even has changing rooms!

We started at the amazing Moreton Bay Fig trees, then headed to the jetty for some bay photos. The best thing about Wellington Point Reserve is the variety of backdrops available! I love the mixture of blues, greens and browns that add huge variety to the photographs.

I loved how we managed to get a great variety of photos – some posed shots, plenty of candid photos, and some amazing belly laugh pictures! They are always my favourites! The guys were a little reluctant to do any solo photos at first but absolutely nailed it once they had relaxed and settled into their poses!

The one hour photography sessions always go so quickly! But they are so much fun! Our photographer, Andy, thinks he’s pretty funny (he isn’t!) and keeps the sessions relaxed and light, and will offer advice and pointers for posing and locations, but always welcomes any input, thoughts and ideas!

Family Photography Brisbane

I am in the process of loading some family photography photo shoots from last year (and playing catch up!) and I am delighted to say that less than a year after taking these amazing family photos for Kerry and Jason, I have done two more family photography sessions with them! The next family photo shoot was a maternity shoot for Kerry, which was followed a few weeks later by a newborn photo shoot at our studio in Alexandra Hills!

This family photography photo shoot was an awful lot of fun! Sienna was an absolute pleasure to photograph and her very proud Mummy and Daddy didn’t do too bad a job of modelling either!

We headed to my favourite place in the Redlands area for our family photos; the park at Wellington Point. There are always so many options there for photography, from the Moreton Bay fig trees, to the jetty, to the beach so we had lots of backdrops and lots of beautiful moments to capture!

All of our packages include your high resolution images on a disc so there is no need to come back to us to have your images printed. Kerry and Jason wanted to get the best quality of canvas possible so they had a huge canvas printed, and it looked amazing!

I find it the best compliment possible when family come back time and time again for more family photo shoots and I genuinely hope I hear from Kerry and Jason again! I love my job and I adore what I do and it is all thanks to families like the Smiths! You guys are awesome!

Couples Photo Shoot Brisbane – Donnie and Maddie

Couples Photo Shoot Brisbane:

Donnie emailed me in the new year to book in a couples photo shoot but I had no idea it was going to be a surprise! The look on poor Maddie’s face when I interrupted their milkshake date was priceless!

So gentlemen, let me just highlight the new benchmark for romance! Donnie not only organised a romantic couples photo shoot for his partner of three years, but he aced the photos too! That must have earned him a good few brownie points!

Donnie and Maddie must be amongst the most natural and enthusiastic couples I have photographed, and I humbly believe the results are amazing as a consequence! Both of the guys were happy to take some gentle coaxing and suggestions and were only too happy to pose and cuddle up for the camera!

Romantic Couples Photos

We did the couples photo shoot at Wellington Point Park, one of my favourite places in the Redlands for romantic couples photography. We started at the Moreton Bay Figs (honestly, is it possible to take a bad photo here?!) before talking a walk along the beach and then heading to the jetty. It was a warm and beautiful morning with Donnie and Maddie making the most of the conditions to get some fantastic photos.

The time flew! We had an hour and it felt like ten minutes! I truly love what I do for a living and I hope it comes across in the photo shoots! I always say that if the time flies then you are having fun, and if you are having fun then how can it possibly be work! Thank you so much for an amazing morning guys and I hope to see you again soon! Andy

We got the photos yesterday and they look amazing! We are both so very happy with the result and both want to thank you again for being so nice and easy to get along with, also for taking such awesome photos!

Redlands Photography: Family Photo Shoot

Photography in the Redlands is very rewarding indeed – for a start we have countless options for family photo shoot locations, and with plentiful ocean backdrops, Redlands Photography is a must!

I was lucky enough to do a family photo shoot in Wellington Point Park with Greg, Jen and their beautiful daughter Madeleine – the weather was perfect for family photography and Madeleine was an absolute dream to photograph!

It was a gorgeous, clear afternoon with beautiful low sun, which made for some amazing low light shots – check out the reflections and sea view backdrops in these portrait photos!

Wellington Point jetty is a great location for family photo backgrounds – even on a hot and sunny day we can head underneath the jetty for a bit of shade, which helps with squinting and harsh contrasts. We just have to make sure we go at low tide!

The crowning gem is the 400-year old fig trees; they are amazing and it is almost impossible to take a bad family photo there! Redlands Photography is a great hobby and past time but when it happens to be your job too, that has to be a blessing!

Family Photographs: With a NewBorn Photo Session!

They always say never work with children and animals, but quite frankly neither bothers me in the slightest, especially when the children are as awesome and well behaved as Gyorgyi’s four kids! I was in Heritage Park to capture some family photographs, and I knew with a welcome as warm as that, it was going to be a great family portrait session!

I headed to their beautiful house in Heritage Park early one warm morning and was greeted by three beaming and cheeky smiles! I grabbed some photos of the kids on the stairs first – an impromptu game of ‘Peekaboo’ raised a few smiles and laughs; even from Mum and dad!

Gyorgyi and Roman’s newborn son joined us for a few shots – what a well behaved little boy he is! And so easy to photograph! Newborn photography shoots are usually punctuated by tears but we didn’t have any at all!

He slept the whole time, and even allowed Mum to change his clothes and get some nudey shots! He wasn’t overly keen on the baskets (Gyorgyi had brought some of her own – it’s always nice to have some new props to photograph!) so we let him chill on the blankets instead!

Roman had to work that day so we worked quickly and got some great family photographs. The kids were especially well behaved and keen to have their photo taken and they didn’t even tire or get bored as we progressed through the morning!

I love close up shots – capturing the details on a newborn photo shoot – and can this little dude grip on to Mum’s hand!

In general the more people there are in a photo the more challenging it becomes! Blinking becomes more prevalent of course, but these guys rocked!

We grabbed some photos on the stairs, the couch and then headed outside to a fantastic mango tree.

Family Photography at Wellington Point

Family Photography Session:

Location: Wellington Point

Date:23rd February 2017, 6am

I love early morning family photography sessions. No really I do! I have a one year old so I am awake at 5am every day, so I was delighted when Nikita and Simon asked if a 6am family photography session at Wellington Point would be OK. Let’s do this!

It was a beautiful, warm and clear morning, and at that time of day the whole Wellington Point park area was home to a couple of fisherman, and us! We had the place to ourselves and made use of the jetty, park, and amazing sheltered fig tree area – all of which are fantastic locations for family photography!

Happily Nikita and Simon brought along their son Nico, an awesomely friendly little guy who was more than happy to throw a heap of big smiles my way!

The fig trees really are an amazing place for family photography – they make for such a great backdrop and the broad canopy allow us to take photos at any time of day. The amazing views across the bay to Manly and Brisbane city don’t hurt either!

And of course being a peninsular, Wellington Point is surrounded by water, and water always makes for great family photos! And having an early start meant the jetty was free for us to get some great family pictures on!

Wellington Point also has three play parks, which is great as a bribery tactic for kids! We took Nico to go and have a play and to get some spontaneous photos; sometimes these are the best shots from the session!

And then all too quickly the hour was up and we were saying goodbye! It was an awesome family portrait session and a great start to the day! Thanks so much for being so much fun and so relaxed, especially at that time of the morning, and I hope to see you for another family photo session again soon!
