A Thousand Miles Photography are a Brisbane based photographic company specialising in interactive photography courses that will teach you how to take better photographs with your own camera. We are also available to teach private groups at your own time and location, for a more personal session, or if you have a group of staff needing group tuition. We can also organize the activity at your next corporate event.

Our Photographer:

Our photographer is British-born, Brisbane-adopted wedding and family photographer Andy Williams who has been travelling the world for 18 years taking photographs in 100 countries (and counting!) In the last four and a bit years he has been grounded by the birth of his two amazingly beautiful children (yes I am biased!) and is now concentrating on getting his own children to smile and look at the camera!

Our Locations:

A Thousand Miles Photography operate photography courses all over Brisbane, all of which  are central, accessible and great fun to photograph. We conduct the majority of our day time workshops in the beautiful Roma Street Parklands and our night photography workshops at Kangaroo Point Cliffs. If you are unsure as to the location of your particular workshop please don’t hesitate to contact us

Our Courses:

All of our courses are interactive and do require that you bring your own camera. You will receive a print-out of the content at the beginning of the course which you can then take home with you. We strongly encourage questions and you are, of course, free to make notes.

All of our courses take place outdoors which gives you the opportunity to put into practice what you have learned as you go along, with our photographer offering helpful advice along the way. Our instructors have a great knowledge of a large range of cameras and can help find those all important buttons and dials.
