Boulevard Gardens Wedding

boulevard gardens

I have photographed at Boulevard gardens many times and every wedding I have photographed there is different! The garden space is a fantastic location for an intimate wedding and the arched arbour is a stunning backdrop for any wedding ceremony.

Boulevard Gardens is superbly located in Indooroopilly, near the Brisbane River.

Allie and Michael chose Boulevard Gardens for the location of their wedding in April 2022, and it truly was the perfect day! I started with some shots of the groom, Michael, getting ready at Kangaroo Point. The atmosphere was very laid back and a lot of fun!

Michael arrived at Boulevard gardens in style! Several guests were already on site, as was Bronwyn Saleh, easily one of my favourite celebrants to work with! Bronwyn is very warm and laid back and makes the ceremony all about the couple. Nothing is ever too much for Bronwyn and I always do a happy dance when we work together! You can check out Bronwyn’s website below!

The ceremony was amazing and saw a switch between clouds and sun. There were tears and laughter and a lot of emotion. Just how a wedding ceremony should be!

boulevard gardens

After the ceremony we stayed for some family photos in front of Boulevard Gardens’ pagola, and stayed for some bridal party photographs

Boulevard Gardens is a short drive Mt Coot_tha Botanic Gardens, one of my favourite locations in Brisbane for wedding photography. We had a bit of rain, which meant using some colourful umbrellas, and the bridal party had been prepared with snacks and an esky!

After a brief stop at Wilson’s Outlook for some bride and groom photos we headed to Kangaroo Point for the reception, where I witnessed one of the funniest wedding speeches ever, thanks to Michael’s Dad!

Elopement Photography

Elopment Photoshoot Brisbane

Elopement weddings are becoming an increasingly popular way for couples to say ‘I do’! Happily we specialise in elopement photography and elopement wedding photography!

D & G were one couple who made their wedding vows in the most personal way possible! Alone! Technically speaking you will always need a minimum of 5 people at a wedding (the couple, a celebrant, and 2 witnesses) but I am always happy to be a witness and to sign the paperwork for you! As I did this day!

We headed to New Farm park for D&G’s elopement wedding, where we met our celebrant and her husband – the 2nd witness! The vows were beautiful and intimate and were said by the flower arbours in the park gardens.

Elopement Photographer Brisbane

Following a beautiful and personal ceremony, we stayed in the park for some photos of the newlyweds. New Farm park is one of my favourite spots in Brisbane for elopement photography as there are heaps of amazing spots and backdrops for photos. We started by the arbour then headed to the Powerhouse for some urban chic!

It helped that it was a beautiful day and that we were there late in the afternoon when the sun is low and at its best. We call that the golden hour and makes the couple and the landscape glow!

If you are looking for elopement photography and elopement wedding photography packages, we would love to help! We photograph weddings 7 days a week and have a 2-hour weekend elopement photography package for $890, which includes your edited high resolution images and a chat beforehand to go through the plans!

We also have a midweek (Monday – Thursday) quickie option. A 1-hour midweek elopement is just $499.00!! For more information check out our wedding photography packages or feel free to contact us!

Congratulations on locking in a date and the best of luck with your elopement wedding plans! We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sirromet Wedding Photography

Sirromet Wedding Photography

Being an Alexandra Hills-based Wedding Photographer means that I have a soft spot for photographing weddings in the Redlands! One of my favourite wedding venues anywhere in South-East Queensland happens to be in the Redlands; Sirromet Winery!

Sirromet Wedding Photography is amazing and I am always incredibly excited to head there to photograph a wedding. The venue is a one stop venue, with beautiful accommodation, several fantastic wedding ceremony locations, several amazing opportunities for bridal party wedding photos, and some incredible wedding reception options.

I was lucky enough to photograph Kelly and Mark’s amazing Sirromet wedding in May this year and the day was absolutely perfect! Kelly got ready in Merlot House on location at Sirromet Winery. I arrived early to photograph the hair and make up, then headed to photograph the boys in nearby Birkdale.

The boys were suitably relaxed and looked dapper in their matching black suits and ties. Mark’s Dad Greg was even good enough to make me lunch! What a guy!

Back at Merlot House, the girls were ready so we did some final prepping photos and got some pre-wedding family photos before taking those deep breaths and heading to the wedding ceremony.

The ceremony took place at the laguna, a quieter area away from the winery, and beautifully located on a mirror-flat lake.

The ceremony was perfectly officiated by Natasha Hill (https://www.hillscelebrant.com.au/), a celebrant with whom I have worked several times. Natasha is amazing, relaxed and always fun to work with!

The ceremony had tears, smiles, and laughter and was the perfect location for this beautiful couple to say ‘I do’.

After a group photo and some family photos on site, I dragged the bridal party to the secret area behind the laguna which has the most amazing light in the late afternoon, and is well away from prying eyes! I had met most of the bridal party a few years earlier at the wedding of Amanda and Chris (who were also in the bridal party) so it was a very relaxed shoot, and with a bride and groom as good looking as Kelly and Mark, it was a very easy task!

And so to the wedding reception; the part of the day when everyone can finally exhale and let their hair down! Sirromet has some amazing options for the perfect wedding reception. Kelly and Mark’s reception took place in the amazingly photogenic Barrel Room; one of my favourite reception venues to photograph!

The night was electric and so much fun! The speeches were heart-felt and sincere (and not overly long!) and the first dance was incredible!

I left the party once the dancing had kicked in and after a long but fun day I drove home; a mere 7 minutes away! No wonder I love Sirromet Wedding Photography!

Rainforest Gardens

If it wasn’t already evident from previous blog posts; I love what I do for a living! Especially when I get to spend the day with amazing people like Courtney and Aaron! What a fabulous day!

Rainforest Gardens Weddings

And what a perfect location! Rainforest Gardens in Mt Cotton is a truly amazing, self contained venue in the Redlands and is one of my favourite venues to photograph. The grounds are spectacular, the staff are awesome, and being self-contained, there is no reason to pack up and head off site for photos!

But first, the getting ready pics!

The atmosphere with Courtney and her bridesmaids was amazing – so laid back and relaxed, and being the only guy in the room made me the focus of their jokes:) A few drinks and a few photos (and a few tears!) later and I headed off to Rainforest gardens to pick on the boys!

Again the atmosphere was relaxed and upbeat, and the boys seemed pretty laid back. Until the car arrived!

redlands wedding photographer

With the bride’s arrival, it all gets real!

Wedding Photography

Yes there were tears and yes there were smiles, but all the best weddings have these! Happily Cassandra Bowles was on hand to officiate and keep everyone in check! Cass did an amazing job and was the perfect celebrant for Court and Aaron mixing up the sentiment with the humour:) You can check out her web page here: www.cassandrabowles.com

The ceremony is, of course, the most important part of the day and is always filled with emotion. I love hearing personal vows and seeing who will be the first to cry (spoiler: Courtney!)

And once the signing has been completed and the ceremony finalised, it is generally the photographers turn to take over! My time to shine! And Rainforest gardens has the perfect spot for a group photo, and the grounds are a stunning location for bridal party photography!

Oh, did I mention Rainforest Gardens has llamas? They have llamas 🙂

Wedding Photographer

The best time of day for wedding photography is the Golden Hour; that last hour before the sun sets when everything looks warm and gorgeous and happily Rainforest Gardens has a spectacular hilltop lookout to watch the sunset on your most magical of days:)

And how to better a perfect afternoon? With a perfect evening! Bring on the reception!

And with Aaron’s speech drifting into the ether, my night was over. What a truly spectacular day in a truly spectacular location.

Congratulations Guys!

Rainbow Bay, Gold Coast

Saki and Daniel certainly picked the right day for their Gold Coast Wedding; the sun shone, conditions were perfect and with a backdrop like this, nothing could be more ideal! I love Gold Coast Wedding Photography – being from the UK originally, I still pinch myself when i get to photograph a wedding on a beach as beautiful as this!

The guys chose Rainbow Bay for their wedding location, and what a stunning spot to say ‘I do!’ To say the wedding was casual is putting it mildly! Daniel arrived bare-footed and relaxed, and Saki followed shortly after. Her parents were visiting from Japan and appeared to love being in the Queensland warmth!

The ceremony was beautifully officated and was filled with laughter! With wedding photography, I use two cameras, one of which has a longer lens which allows for those more intimate and natural poses and manages to capture those belly laughs and tears without being invasive.

After a fantastic cheer from the congregation and a euphoric celebration from Daniel, we did a group photo and family shots by the rocks before I stole Daniel and Saki and whisked them away to Snapper Rocks for some wedding photographs.

Gold Coast Wedding Photographer

And wow! What a session! Gold Coast Wedding Photography rocks! No more words needed – how amazing do these guys look?!

redlands wedding photographer

And after a amazing wedding photography session we headed to the hotel rooftop where the reception was in full swing and Daniel and Saki played catch up! The views were amazing, the day was amazing, the couple were amazing! All in all it was a great day for Gold Coast Wedding Photography!

Manly Wedding Photography

Manly Wedding Photographer

Date: 22nd October 2018

Location: Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club, Manly

I love photographing weddings in Manly! I lived there for several years and am still local so know the area very well! I have also been a member of Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club for many years so was delighted to be asked to capture Ray and Clara’s amazing wedding last October!

And what a day it was! It was a perfect day for Manly Wedding Photography – the sun shone, the wind was kind, and look at that for a wedding ceremony backdrop! The Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club is a pretty special place to be married! Oh and Clara and Ray looked pretty good too!

Ray was relaxed and smiling as the guests arrived and Clara was more relaxed than when I had met the guys a few days prior when she pulled up in the wedding car! And how amazing is that dress!

Debbie Thomas did a fantastic job as always, officiating the ceremony and even wove (see what I did there!) a knot-tieing element into the ceremony! I have photographed several weddings with Debbie and she is a star – always a lot of fun, very easy to work with and nothing is ever too much for her! You can check out her web page here:
https://www.letscelebrate.com.au/

Cheers indeed! Congratulations on the perfect wedding ceremony guys! And all the best for the future!

The great thing about Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club is that you don’t have to leave the premises for beautiful bridal party photos! We headed down to the boat ramp for some gorgeous bay and boat shots, and didn’t the guys do well!

Manly Wedding Photography

And happily there was no need to head elsewhere for the reception as Moreton Bay Trailer Boat Club have you sorted there too! And with amazing water views and outstanding food to boot!

Congratulations on the perfect wedding day guys and thanks for being so much fun to photograph! Best Wishes, Andy

I love photographing weddings in Brisbane! There are just so many locations for great photos, and when you have a gorgeous couple like Rebecca and James, my job becomes very easy indeed!

I had met this beautiful couple before; I was lucky enough to do an engagement shoot for them and jumped at the chance to capture their big day!

We met at the shiny new Registry Office on Ann Street, a great place for Brisbane wedding photography with the amazing view!

And then Rebecca walked in! Rebecca was a stunning bride, and James a dashing groom! The ceremony was touching and intimate, and after a few family photos outside, we headed to Eagle Street for some photos of the newly married couple!

As the newlyweds headed to Eagle Street for a post-wedding celebration, I walked through the Botanic Gardens and thought how amazing wedding photography in Brisbane really is! With the almost unlimited amazing locations, I consider myself very lucky to be able to do a job I love in a city I adore! Being a wedding photographer is a privilege I will never take for granted and I have to pinch myself every day when I think about where I am based doing what I love doing!

I love photographing weddings on the Gold Coast! Maybe it’s because I’m from the UK where you never get the chance to photograph beach weddings, but there’s something about being on the beach that makes me smile!

And this wedding was unique in so much that there wasn’t a wedding happening! David and his beautiful bride were married in Japan and came to the Gold Coast for some beautiful beach wedding photos and I was more than happy to oblige!

We chose the area around Main Beach as it is rarely busy, and being a Monday it was even less so. There is also a beautiful rainforest area between the road and the beach which gives a more diverse option for photos! We started there and got some fantastic shots of the guys in their finery and then headed to the beach itself for some more open shots.

It wasn’t the brightest, sunniest day ever, and we had a bit of rain too, but an overcast sky means less shadows, squinting and harsh contrasts so I was doing a little happy dance as I headed down there! Of course rain means rainbows – which we were rewarded with – and umbrella shots always look intimate and cosy.

Being a wedding photographer is fantastic: you get to meet a lot of fun and amazing people, and you get to spend the happiest day of people’s lives with them! How cool is that?!

IMG_0017x IMG_0023x

Siobhan and Sandeep’s wedding on Mount Tamborine was particularly awesome: the guys are such amazing, laid back people and were so welcoming. They are clearly profoundly in love (yes folks there were tears!) and they both looked amazing! That day, being a wedding photographer on Mount Tamborine was a fun thing to be!

There was nothing about this incredible wedding at Bundaleer Rainforest Gardens that I didn’t adore! I had known Megan and Brandon for a while and knew them to be amazingly friendly and welcoming people, so I knew there would be no dramas on the day. And this magical wedding day went off  perfectly! One of the good things about Bundaleer is that you can often use the house behind the property to get ready. Its proximity and amazing light makes an ideal spot for wedding photos!
